Spring Observations: Snakes, Butterflies, and Beautiful Skies

So far, this wet spring has been great for the lake. The first bluebird brood of 2012 have left this nest. The heavy rains seem to have increased the snake population. Many of my neighbors have seen water moccasins and coral snakes. The butterflies are prevalent: we have particularly large population of black swallowtails and some little orange dudes I haven't identified yet!
A perfect late spring sky.
Identify these dudes!
Happy sleeping dogs.
